As part of the internal engagement and boundary spanning goals, the IST Accelerate Core Team recently engaged with the research community through the Systems and Management Research Group (RG3) of CERIS (Civil Engineering Research and Innovation for Sustainability).

The Systems and Management Research Group is a multidisciplinary research group dedicated to advancing innovation in the built environment.

Through cutting-edge research in decision-making, project management, digital technologies, and sustainability, this group strives to develop solutions that address complex challenges in engineering and construction.

The session sparked insightful discussions, setting the stage for a collaborative workshop where participants explored the value proposition and “quick-win” initiatives for BuildHub – a hub dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship and innovation in the built environment.

This workshop marked an important step forward in shaping new entrepreneurial and innovative opportunities within the built environment!
Next steps of internal engagement include broadening the participation of faculty and students in the testing environment.
