- As ever, Elizabeth discovers, analyses, rejoices in, and so subtly educates you, all in one One of the most underrated rock songs of all time, this hit hard, musically & lyrically. Brilliant social commentary and exceptional musicians youtu.be/6pgKbfzXZuA?...
- Israeli PM Netanyahu says “there will be no situation where we stop the war” as the UN relief chief calls for global action to “prevent genocide” in Gaza. 🔴 Follow our LIVE coverage: aje.io/9mc8ad
- I can easily envisage a situation which ends the "war" That situation involves Netanyahu and a filthy jail cell
- In which @amyremeikis.bsky.social has a look at Sussan Ley and finds… nothing, really. (Also why the Libs are not worth devoting too much attention to from now on) www.thenewdaily.com.au/news/politic...

View full threadNothing says punk rocker like joining a right wing party.
- These people heard Never Mind The Bollocks once at a party and declared themselves punk in discussion with their Brighton hairdresser "Rage Against The Machine? Who even is that?"
- “Volunteer firefighters, farmers Vic have banded together in effort to stop controversial expansion of emergency services levy. Vic Labor govt wants to replace state’s fire services property levy with emergency services volunteers fund 1 July. Households extra $63 year, farmers $678 year.”
- Not sure where those figures were quoted - some farmers are talking about increases in the $10's of thousands...right when they're already doing it tough, and drought is starting to really bite www.abc.net.au/news/2025-05...
- The "Emergency Services & Volunteers levy" proposed by the Allen Govt in #Victoria is absolutely unacceptable The damage this will cause to farm businesses, and all the wider agricultural sector is obscene Screwing over drought stricken farmers is NOT the answer to State revenue issues
- Senator Matt Canavan's bid for Nationals leadership failed. He wants zero carbon by 2050 dropped. Says it's important to reduce carbon emissions, "but not at the expense of everything else". Not being done at expense of everything else. When you utter absurdities you reduce your relevance.
- By "everything else" senator Canavan means coal. Labor's oft stated mix is solar, wind, hydro, some gas & batteries. Canavan missed the memo or has stopped listening.
- It is this ridiculous narrative that has developed a real anti-renewables mindset among many regional/rural people Rather than learning how adopting renewable hosting could help farms with cash flow during down years, there is genuine fear & loathing Damned fools like Canavan are climate criminals
- Appalling interview. Jillian Segal accuses The Greens of "extremism" and Adam Bandt of antisemitic comments, with no evidence. Says the election was a rejection of extremism. But is not referring to Dutton's dog-whistling, or commitment to breach international law. www.abc.net.au/listen/progr...
- I move the special envoy no longer be heard
- [Not loaded yet]
- Stand by for the mass sackings....gotta protect those executive salaries & bonuses....
- Waiting for The Nationals (nee farmers, now miners) to tell the Liberal part of the coal-ition where to shove their coal-ition. Will they do it? Can they afford not to? Might happen naturally as Lib seats disappear one by one.

- Says a lot about both coalition partners when you look at the Melbourne Cup sized fields of absolutely outstanding talent they boast when considering the leadership ambitions.... Most of these people couldn't operate a door without some kind of assistance
- Jacinta Price is the Angus Taylor of Bridget McKenzies
- 😂 oh well played, well played
