Isn't this the *third* historically important Canadian brand/store that has been ruined and run into the ground by American ownership who come in to try and rescue it? (They simply keep the earnings for themselves or their American stores--that's how we lost Sears Canada: Sears USA kept the profits)

Man of Steel was - among other grave sins - a huge character assassination of Jonathan Kent. He really told his son “yeah you probably should have let that bus full of kids die to keep your secret” 😭 l
Fun fact: despite having zero history of motion sickness, I was unfortunate enough to succumb to the wiggly camera motion sickness multiple times during the film (idk if it was reported much but it was all over the press here at the time and warnings were never put)
