- I listen to a LOT of audiobooks, I listen every single day. I am an Audible member & spend a fortune on @bigfinish.bsky.social. This makes my heart sink. More books is good but it will inevitably be used to employ fewer artists. I often choose books because of the talented artist. Sad to see it.
- I cannot even begin to express how disappointed I am by this announcement. Make sure you use the term "-virtual_voice" when searching for something on Audible. Alternatively, visit publishers who are still supporting human narrators, like Penguin and SNR Audio. www.theguardian.com/books/2025/m...
- The Aberdeen- Glasgow train is one of the most beautiful rail journeys in the UK. Great to visit the Uni of Aberdeen to run a session on how to plan public events that are engaging, memorable and inclusive.
- While I’m on Trek V, it’s a good & bad film at the same time. Bad: Shatner as director did the crew a disservice, Sulu gets lost and Scotty bangs his head - would never happen. Good: I love that little McCoy flashback to euthanising his father. Powerful character insight. & The camping scene is 🥰

- Editing day. Was delighted to tech and host the hybrid element of Accessibility Unlocked, a one day conference looking at EDI in SciComm. Videos, translation, speaker and slides - all lived mixed for 6 hours 😅. Went waaay beyond the average zoom call and people really appreciated it
- I’ll be heading to MCM comic con in London on Sat 24th May if anyone wants to say hi. (Yes he is there too. No it’s not coincidence 😅)
