I think we got a good Pope. He won't be a PERFECT Pope in that some of the Church's conservative leanings will occasionally pop out here and there. But he cares about Migrants. He cares about the poor. He cares about his fellow man. What more can we ask?

We hope he carries Pope Francis' progressive views to care about his fellow woman-as equal in importance for leadership roles, including becoming priests. We don't need any pedestal BS, just equality.

He will never do that. He’s a moderate, not a progressive. But he’s great on immigration, poverty, workers rights. It’s the best we could have hoped for.

He is not supportive of LGBTQ people.

Like I said he’s a moderate, not a progressive. But he took no position on the encyclical that said priests could bless gay marriages. That’s better than most.
