- Holding onto it longer just makes it lose more value so I'm not sure how that is a win.
- With the large amount of money a used Tesla goes for, they could easily afford to buy a brand new under-warranty car with brand new parts. They don't even have to lower down to buying a used car most of us drivers contentedly make do with.

- I know a number of Uber drivers. The ones I know do it because they love the lifestyle and freedom of time. Someone buying a Tesla definitely has a large chunk of spare disposable cash. It's not something a starving artist does. There are MANY cheaper options.

- Look up the costs for Teslas. People who can afford those cars are not living in poverty. And they can certainly get a great car by selling that existing one. Even at the beginning the first Model Y was nearly $50k.
