- Sent an email to someone at work, only really needed a reply confirming they’d read it but was expecting it and unsure why they hadn’t responded. Turns out they had…with a thumbs up emoji reaction to it!!! Not a reply with the emoji, a reaction in the top corner! TO AN EMAIL! WHAT IS THAT!!!

- Based solely on this and the fact that I always see the Scottish Episcopal Church at Glasgow Pride with signs such as ‘Blessed are the fabulous’ and ‘Ready to marry you’, I have concluded that Episcopalianism is where it’s at.
- BREAKING: The Episcopal Church has announced it will end its decades-old partnership with the government to resettle refugees, citing moral opposition to resettling white Afrikaners from South Africa who have been classified as refugees by the Trump admin. religionnews.com/2025/05/12/e...
- So I’m not saying it’s fully advantageous that I can’t remember the last time it rained *IN GLASGOW* and that the rest of the week is like this…but it is nice to be out and about in!

- Reposted by Michael“The pope will be from Chicago” sounds like an 1880s Republican’s dire prediction for if we don’t stop Irish immigration
- Love the continued emphasis of the BBC to push the fact he’s actually been in Peru for decades, barely even American, probably forgotten the concept of a deep dish pizza by now
- Shout out to all the news presenters who have spent hours trying, with more desperation each passing minute, to find something to talk about whilst they stare at four different angles of the same chimney.
- Sure, why not
- I love election year government policy
- Oh go on, do it again…
- So I know the Conservatives won over 80% of the vote in this Alberta seat…but I plea, I beg, I petition the people of Battle River-Crowfoot to do the funniest thing imaginable
- NEW - Conservative MP-elect for Battle River—Crowfoot Damien Kurek is resigning his seat to allow Conservative Party Leader, Pierre Poilievre, to run in a forthcoming by-election. #bcpoli
- Yes - Labour doing very bad (deserved) but also standard for unpopular government. But the main opposition party tanking despite the gift of an unpopular government seems like one of those big stories likely to be skirted over.
- Reposted by MichaelPoilievre vows to stay on as party leader for reasons of being otherwise unemployable
- Turns out the first 901 arrived late, at the exact time the second 901 was supposed to arrive. In news that may be slightly related, I am not in Braehead, as originally intended. I am in Port Glasgow.
- Not claiming to be an expert on validity of this but I’ve seen a couple of claims suggesting it. So, if working with these assumptions: 1) Last votes being counted are advance polling/special ballots 2) These have consistently been leaning Liberal Then you can probably see a majority pathway?
- Helpful list from the CBC on which ridings remain too close to call. Liberals would need to flip 4 of these without losing any other seats in order to get to a majority. www.cbc.ca/news/politic...
- Reposted by MichaelCBC finally calls Carleton - the Canadian Tory leader Pierre Poilievre has lost his own seat
- Very 2017 UK General election
- Something very cathartic about the possibility that a man - who has done nothing outside of politics, elected as an MP aged 24, desperate to become PM and enjoying an inevitable march to a landslide victory just months ago - may now suddenly lose his own seat.
- As a proud Dundee United hater, this is a terrible colour combination from me
- Oh he’s gonna be MAD
- Feel like one of the defining aspects of our system is that parliament can basically pass into law whatever it wants. So to see the Govt hide behind the UKSC decision as some unchangeable ruling that ‘brings clarity’ is pretty telling when they could simply amend the EA if they cared. They don’t.
- The Papacy is coming home
- Begging the Cardinals to do the right thing en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pierbat...
- Something vaguely amusing about the fact that his two most reliable votes aren’t even amongst the three that he appointed.
- Help, how do I get my bf to stop sending me links to the LinkedIn games he plays?!
- Sitting by the fire, waiting on dinner, whilst drinking an ale and reading a book. Not too shabby a birthday, I suppose!
- I still have one more year in my twenties SO I AM STILL YOUNG AND VIBRANT, OKAY!
- Trying to smile through the fact that I went on holiday to the Lake District the moment it stopped being beautiful sunshine and began pissing down with rain
- Big fan of the landlord of this pub flogging his own book
