- Matt Gaetz resigning from both Attorney General AND Congress means the report was more damning than anyone thought Insane how much of that info was already available to the Trump regime and they still tried to give him the power of AG anyway

- To this day the single most educational political experience of my life was living through the wildfires of 2019 in California, seeing just how many people fell were left to fend alone. How many resources went to protecting the rich, abandoning the poor. US governance is Make Live and Let Die.

- I am happier now than I ever was. My life is full of people who love more beautifully than I could have imagined possible. I can live with my body on a daily basis. But I will never stop mourning those who didn't make it. Or the needless pain I and every trans person I know have had to suffer.
- The present and real fear of violence, the knowledge that people can and will brush you aside for opportunities you NEED BADLY if they "know" And these days, the CONSTANT unavoidable exposure to virulent open hate. It scars you. It suffocates you. It breaks you.
- The fear and knowledge that violence and hatred against me and other trans people could and DID go unpunished and unnoticed is haunting. The way people can take advantage of your social vulnerabilities. The way they pull strings in the dark against you. Demonize every bit of your life.
- When I was outed to my family, I was disowned, ruined financially, physically forced onto the street. My step father wrote me a letter in which he promised to kill me with the gun he owned if I ever returned as a woman. Transition after was extremely difficult, lonely, and painful.

- For years so, so many advocated that the only real path to a better world lay thru + within the Democratic party. 2024 is the final resounding refutation of that falsehood. Dems utterly failed for years in the face of an open aspirant dictator despite consuming endless money and activist energy.
- The sad reality is that the Democrat Liberal faction is not going to change themselves willingly, possibly at all! They have resisted meaningful evolution every step of the way. What I hope the broader left learns in the coming years is to not let their evolution be bound in liberal petrification.

- Use your time wisely these coming months. Prepare with a mind to resilience, flexibility and RESCUE. I know the christian nationalists Trump is riding to power with intimately, I was imprisoned by them my whole childhood. Do not gamble on "incompetence" in the short term, they can and will blitz.
