- I swear some of the leit motifs in a few songs in UT2k4 from Riepl reference this or straight up sample it, and at least one song in UT3 (Firestorm I believe?) tries to pay homage to it to a degree, though the actual reference is only available in the game rip or sequenced mix, instead of the OST
- Those of you familiar with threading are aware of so-called "spurious wakeups" as a result of a thread sleeping on a condition variable. Less known, however, is the "grab a brush and put on a little makeup" wake up threads undergo when the system is of a down.
