- Looking through sketches from last year, found this, and remembered maid day was a few days ago so what the hell happy late maid day
- who needs birds flying through the sky when you have eye floaters
- mech artists: what's important to you when designing mechs/robots?
- if fraud introduces a greater angel enemy i'm gonna feel like a fucking genius
- violence focused on the machines & it doesn't feel right to expect more. same with demons and their parallels but could get another bc hell. there's a lot of husks but not impossible. angel just feels right because fraud is a prison in what is already a huge prison & it could reflect gabe's journey
- no real expectations though. if i'm wrong then that's great, because i love being surprised by anything the game throws
- Hung out watching friends play sonic adventure and realized I enjoy sa1 more than 2. 2 is great but 1 has such intentional whimsy and style to its world. It's like a day in the life, whereas sa2 is a very special character story. Even the gamefeel/level design pushes the free vs linear aspect
- sa2's world relies on fulfilling SHADOW'S story, the levels feel a little bleaker and serious to accomplish that. sa1 is like a playground where it's really clear the devs were having a blast coming up with different things to find and do in sonic's world that support 6 separate short stories
- I'm rambling at this point but s3&k and sa1 are probably tied for me as favorite sonic game. Just feels like it oozes love in its jank and is a great aesthetic mix of that genesis game stylization and 3d realism
