Higgins was agitated before bedtime, possibly because of the fireworks or gunshots we heard. I wonder if we’ll break our streak of bad nights without enough sleep.

The suction-cup soap dish just crashed to the floor of the shower, waking us both from a dead sleep. (My dream was weird.)

A second soap dish crashed down two hours later. This has been a bad week for sleeping.
