The Greens need an image makeover…
How should they rebrand?
New colour? New name?
Suggest away!

I've been thinking about them a bit since the election.
I'd *like* to be able to vote for them (because I want to conserve the environment and I'm generally progressive), but I've always found them too idealistic, unrealistic and self-righteous.

If they are happy being a fringe party that is largely electorally irrelevant then it doesn't matter what they call themselves.
If, however, they want to *matter*, then it's not about branding or colours, it's about not taking every far-left position available, giving each other a round of...

finger snaps and then accusing people of not understanding preferential voting when they lose.
They are no longer the party of one big target (the environment), they seem to be a party of a tonne of small targets that a lot of people don't give a shit about, but they seem to think are...

... incredibly important.
It's a shame, really. We need a viable progressive party that can work with the ALP and be sufficiently relevant to drag the larger party to the left on the environment, but they can't seem to rein in their need to be "right" about everything.
Perfection over improvement
Yep, that's where The Greens fall over. They are constantly let "better" be the enemy of "perfect".
That's how the MSM frame them
#Greens produce evidence based policy
The MSM amplify the trivial
The MSM smother critical issues and debates
The MSM lack substance and are reduced to politics as shallow entertainment
The MSM only do cheap time fillers
#auspolI don't know who you're framing as the "MSM", but I don't necessarily disagree with any of those statements.
Can I ask what in your mind are their far left views?
Personally, I like that they stand for more than the environment, are the only party talking about taxing the rich & speak for issues like Dental in Medicare and affordable housing…
I was reminded of Jordan Steele-John's argument that the people who vandalised the War Memorial were engaged in free-speech.
Saying that the destruction of public assets should be a protected action is the kind of virtue-signalling bullshit that turns me off The Greens.
