- who would ever be ignorant enough and naive enough to have thought that essentials originating in china would ever, EVER be anything other than trojan horses? these must be the same people who would believe any single word, phrase or sentence that exists the current president's mouth.
- "India on Tuesday reiterated its rejection of US President Donald Trump's offer to mediate" Also, India says the US did not help broker the ceasefire timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/...
- why would anyone believe any word, phrase or sentence that exits trump's mouth? even in matters of national security and foreign affairs. hasn't the world learned that the word "trump" means lying, deception and nothing more. at least India has belatedly recognized this truth as well.
- Amazing!
- George T. Conway - Have you seen this . . . that is, if you yourself did not send it aloft!
- there are a few well-educated trump enablers, believe it or not. they really, really don't want you to read this.
- BREAKING: Pete Hegseth plagiarized 8 different passages in senior thesis at Princeton, with many passages of 10-30+ words verbatim, per Daily Princetonian Princeton has strict policy against plagiarism, often with 1 year suspension He was untruthful then — and untruthful now

- thank you for this reporting. you underscore how the drip drip drip of rank corruption has diminished our value system. again: thank you.
- Spring bouquet from the garden. 🌱
- congratulations! this is outstanding . . .
- Tristan, did you do this reporting on Hegseth's plagiarism at Princeton? Or is there someone else I should thank? - david
- Good morning to everyone but except the CFO of Tesla, who just made a cool million selling more shares after the inexplicable rally. www.sec.gov/Archives/edg...
- insider sales of shares US-listed companies are governed by a very specific statute. they must be announced months in advance. the trump family is not bound by such rules, and there is now much scrutiny being cast on the self dealing. tesla's CFO bears no culpability whatsoever.
- this guy hates this country, its laws and its traditions
- Abraham Lincoln suspended the writ of habeas corpus. But even mentioning his hallowed name in the same thought as our thug and his enforcers is too painful so i'll leave it at that.

- You obviously did not see President Shipman's televised comments about all of this. If you had, this posting would not have appeared.
- This day keeps getting better.
- The new Pope's actual posts did not trash anyone. The language was relatively restrained and moderate, though they were factual & not loved by trump. It was an official account, & it is likely that a junior staff member wrote & posted without Father Bob's even knowing the posts were made. Facts, svp
- maybe trump is in the control tower? and hegseth is on the flight deck?
- A Navy fighter jet failed to land on an aircraft carrier and plummeted into the Red Sea on Tuesday, marking the fourth major mishap involving the vessel and the third loss of a fighter jet deployed with it since the warship left home last year.
- maybe trump is in the control tower? and hegseth is on the flight deck?
- Just learned a new word today, thanks to Aaron Rupar & CBS on BlueSky. "rawdogging." ever hear of it before? it was in coverage of electing a new Pope: when your phone is confiscated & you must live without oh, so much. the cardinals all had their phones rawdogged so no news could filter out.
- The next time you see a homeless dog, remember Estabon, the Vatican stray who became the Pope's companion. Remember that sometimes, angels come with four paws and wagging tails, sent not to preach, but to teach us how to love quietly and forever.
- This makes certain big name law firms look like nincompoops, and cowardly nincompoops at that, doesn't it? And others, like Arnold & Porter, that have resisted trump from the get-go, look like the go-to's when it comes to constitutional law.

- Black women will be our final, best weapon against the ignorant bigots who want to destroy our fragile democracy. And most thinking people already know that. Those who don't are catching up fast.

- huh? "the ancients were without novels" = a partial truth, at best. what about epic poetry? what about tales described as history? that use of "novels" was simply 19th century myopia . . .

- The world is on Zelensky’s side. Zelensky applauded by world leaders upon entering church.
- Zelenskyy may be the greatest person of our entire century, and Francis may be the second greatest. this is a fitting tribute to them both . . .
- Truth, right here…👇 No. One. Could. Even. Imagine. ✨
- only white men who owned property (including other human beings) could vote originally. so the Founders had a staggeringly incomplete sample of the potential population. their documents, heavily biased & skewed, have become increasingly irrelevant over time ---> low information, low frequency voters
- Trump is exploring whether to pay mom’s $5,000 to have a bonus baby. Question: Who pays the next estimated $300,000 to $400,000 (if not 5 times these government amounts) support for the next 17 years — mom & dad’s legally responsibility? Typical Trump deal! :-) abcnews.go.com/Politics/tru...
- well, trump's not great with reality or with consequences. so what IS he good for? hmmmmm . . . er, uh . . . drawing a blank

- down 71% according to the business news sources i've seen
- Over time, we will learn (1) why trump repeatedly betrays us (2) what he craves from russia (3) what he has given putin to get it. All answers will be learned over time. Identities of all trump's fellow traitors will become known in full. Benedict Arnold will become the equivalent of chump change.
- The world's democracies have Ukraine fighting for us all. The USA's democracy has the American Civil Liberties Union fighting for us all. Ukraine has Volodymyr Zelenskyy leading its fight. The ACLU has Anthony Romero leading its fight. We are blessed with heroes to protect us from enslavement.

- Any publicly-traded company that does not pay all of its employees – thinking of Marriott in particular – a living wage is sowing its own demise. Marriott: what will you do about this?
- The executive director of the Texas State Lottery resigned abruptly on Monday in the latest fallout from the agency’s decision in 2023 to help professional bettors in Europe purchase and print millions of its tickets and guarantee themselves a $95 million jackpot win.
- no one who lives in texas and makes a modicum of an effort to know what is happening is surprised by this rank corruption. the next insult to us will be that the disgraced executive director will not be prosecuted. the attorney general is himself a felon.
- Marriott’s CEO said it straight: “We welcome all… we create opportunities for all… that’s who we are as a company.” He went back to his hotel to find 40K emails from Marriott associates worldwide saying “thank you.” Plenty of CEOs talk. Capuano showed up. Marriott still has my business.
- Marriott treats their entry and mid level employees appallingly badly. Sub-market wages and reserving their right to reduce hours at will. They have no soul when it comes to their employees.

- this is a very bad, an unfortunately bad photographic reproduction of your work. it looks like a paint-by-numbers work. perhaps you should think about using another type of instrument, one that does justice to what you intended?
- how does one reply to the many Jews and Israelis who are now lambasting Francis for being pro-Palestine and anti-Israel? what can one say in response . . .
- OMG
- i know what you're thinking. Liz Truss ≠ JD Vance. H U S H !
- easter biscuits
- amazing . . . and how are these different than non-Easter biscuits? recipe?
- what would be even better would be in a republican representative from Michigan called for his impeachment for the same reason
- 25th Amendment time?! 👇 Whatcha thinkin’?! 🤔
- he is not, repeat not the president of the free world. the free world wants nothing to do with trump. repeat: nothing.
- For the latest on competency: Tesla has postponed the launch of its updated, spiffed up best-selling car, the Model Y. So now we see that Musk's incompetence in government extends beyond his DOGE fiasco into what was his distinct competence. Is it something in the drinking water at Mar-A Lago?
- “Department of Government Efficiency.”
- and the latest word on the competency front: Tesla has postponed the launch of its updated, spiffed up best-selling car, the Model Y. So Musk's proven incompetence in government affairs extends beyond his DOGE fiasco.
- It turns out a convicted felon, adjudicated rapist and financial fraudster does not make for a good President.
- hmmm. tell me: did anyone ever think otherwise? even those "low information, infrequent voters," who bestirred themselves to get off their couches and vote last November, knew what they were voting for . . . even if they never admit it
- i have no doubt that senator van hollen was genuinely concerned for the safety and welfare of abrego garcia BUT ALSO this is what i'm talking about when i say POLITICAL AMBITION. van hollen may well make himself a household name and nationally recognized political figure with this move
- and what is your point, jamelle? that a US Senator should fail to act on behalf of what is good and right because of cowardice, fear that he – horrors – dons the appearance of ambition?
- In Israel for the first time? Go to Masada. The heart & soul of Israel & all Jews permanently reside there. Read everything possible beforehand. The greatest book about Masada is by Yigael Yadin, a former prime minister, an archaeologist and military head. It's in pubic & university libraries.
