- For decades, the fundamental goal of AI has been to pass the Turing test, which can be succinctly stated as "can you trick a person into thinking you are another person?" and is quite likely the worst POSSIBLE test of intelligence.
- If that pornography bill passes does that mean that all erotic art will be affected to? And it will affect Patreon and bsky as well? I’m not even in USA but it will most certainly affect me so I prefer to think about other options ahead of time.

- It's almost like electing a president who actively admires Putin is stupid and bad
- It's how the message is delivered. The policies are not the problem. If you want to promote UBI, you don't say "we need better welfare for people who don't work," you say "we need better unemployment and disability insurance for you." People don't vote "help the poor and needy," they vote "help ME."
- Also - people need to understand that UBI isn't a panacea (and I am a long-time advocate for UBI). UBI requires a foundation of living min. wage, basic social safety net, universal/truly affordable healthcare, fair employment laws, etc.
- UBI is limited in what it addresses, but no, it does not require any of that. You can just give people money. They will be better off if you give them money. You don't have to give them fifty other things for that to matter. YOU CAN JUST GIVE THEM MONEY.

- The same way they intend to enforce everything: selectively. The goal is to make everyone a criminal in some minor, inconsequential way that can be weaponised against them if they ever become inconvenient.
- Know who you're talking to. A working family farm is frequently worth a couple million dollars, so when you are talking about taxing the rich and say "I'm not talking about YOU, I'm talking about people with million dollar houses" you have just lost them and you don't even know it.
- I have started working on collision detection for my game and while the bullets are hitting the enemy, they are not so much damaging it as blocking it in so it can't move. This is an interesting mechanic, but not actually what I wanted
- My debugging process always looks so silly. The bullet announces "hit something" whatever it hits, and if the thing can take damage it says "ouch" and how much damage it takes. If it's taken enough damage it announces "*dies*" but doesn't actually die or anything. I still need a "die" animation.
