Professors can beat AI the simplest way possible:
- in-class discussions w/ laptops closed
- exams that ask for handwritten paragraph-length answers
- collaborative in-class projects
Homework is busywork and bullshit. AI is a trash machine mimicking the old way of learning. Let's do new ones.
May 7, 2025 15:24My wife's in grad school, and trust me when I tell you that well north of 90% of assignments are just busywork, check-the-box horseshit. Actually talking with classmates, sharing best practices, engaging in open dialogue with the professor: these are all exponentially more meaningful.
My kid's school here in Brazil does this 😊
