- Reposted by Honza DvorskyWhat's new in Swift 6.2? A whole ton of stuff – raw identifiers, Collection conformances for enumerated(), method key paths, backtracing, weak let, Observations, InlineArray, and of course a big batch of concurrency changes too. Want to see it all in action? www.hackingwithswift.com/articles/277...
- Reposted by Honza DvorskyWe're excited by this year's summer of code projects! ⛱️🧑💻They focus on improving Swift tooling and language interoperability, from VSCode to Java interop. Check them out here: forums.swift.org/t/gsoc-2025-... #GSOC25

- Reposted by Honza DvorskyOriginal paper here, very readable and worth your time: pic.plover.com/knuth-GOTO.pdf One thing not in there is often that 3% causing a problem is not where the hot path is supposed to be (you have a performance bug). But advice is the same. Find where your program is taking time, then fix it.

- Huh, looks like a certain warehouse in a certain country got a new assignment for Q2 🫢 Buckle up folks, they're here, so expect some turbulence.
- Reposted by Honza DvorskySwiftNIO users, please make sure you update to swift-nio >= 2.80.0. There's a compiler bug in the Xcode 16.3's compiler that can make your program hang in a CPU spin loop. NIO 2.80.0 contains a workaround.

- ⚠️ Just a heads up that the swiftlang feeds aren't updating with new posts right now. Seems Jetstream changed something and the websocket is failing right now. Investigating 👀 (Right now, the feed is ~2h behind) Bluesky's Jetstream: github.com/bluesky-soci...
- I created these custom feeds for myself, because I wanted to stop doom-scrolling. I also love swiftlang and wanted a weekend project ✅ But I guess you can use them too... but only a little, as a treat. 👀 Find these links in the Feeds tab on my profile. And you enjoy them? Like and share further 🔗

- Eyy, welcome OpenAPI
- Fun stat from the custom swiftlang feed: only 2% of all posts mentioning the word "swift" on Bluesky are actually about the programming language (hi, Taylor). About 70/3500 daily. Yet, the feed seems to have a very low rate of false positives. LLMs are very useful here 👏 bsky.app/profile/czec...
