Yes, I can imagine. I hear there's a lot of real estate for sale. Canadians are selling their winter homes.
The only downside to that is the value must be falling and they may lose money on those homes. But honestly, it bothered me how many Ontarians (is that a word?) traveled down to Fla, as I've detested Fla and its politics for decades.
Yes, that's a word. They could've bought homes on Vancouver Island instead. So I think they can just suck up the loss. I don't feel sorry for them. My former father-in-law was a VP of National Trust (before they merged). They sold their home in Toronto and bought a great place near Victoria.
I would LOVE to buy a place near Victoria. Much, much better than Florida, IMO.
