Over the past year, COS has listened to open source communities around the world—learning from their challenges, growth, and strategies. In 2025, we began putting our learnings into practice to strengthen OSF’s open-source ecosystem and lay the foundation for a more inclusive, impactful experience. OSF (Open Science Framework) is an open-source platform that enables researchers to manage, share, and collaborate throughout the entire research lifecycle. In collaboration with the National Science Foundation's Pathways to Enable Open-Source Ecosystems (POSE) program, we’re working with new partners and preparing for diverse contributions to COS technologies.
