- Thank you for posting this. I just emailed my senator asking him to support this.
- Little known fact about POTS… While it can and does cause dizziness and fainting, dehydration and muscle pain (especially around the neck and back of shoulders) is incredibly common. “Coat hanger pain” is the official term and can be a tell tale sign of Dysautonomia. For more, my intro article:

- A cardiologist diagnosed me. I'm seeing a ton of other specialists, too, though, since POTS usually shows up with "friends" aka comorbidities.
- "Stalking" Acrylics on Clayboard Tigers are one of my favorite animals This one is only 5"×7" but it took forever because I scratched in each hair individually. I also have joint issues, so I can only work in short stints. I'm proud of myself for completing it, though! #sciart #disabledartist

- Local gallery reception Currently on display: "Golden Poppies" ink on Arches cold press paper "At Ease in my own Shell" acrylics on canvas board Maybe one of these days I'll finally get a custom wheelchair so I can get to these events more easily. #sciart #traditionalart #painting #art #disability

- Sometimes, they proudly state that there's a shuttle bus to the location, but then the shuttle winds up not being wheelchair accessible...
- Revenge of the 5th meets Mermay! Here's a mermaid pic from last Comic Con. I really hope I'm healthy enough to go again this year. I hid my relative's face for child privacy reasons. #revengeofthe5th #covidconscious #disability #mermay #cosplay #sewing #chronicillness #cosplayer #starwars

- Hello! It's my first time posting here, and if anybody has tips for finding the best art communities please let me know. I can't wait to meet everybody. :) Below is my new painting "Think of all the Joy You’ll Find" 12” x 12” | Oil on Canvas #firstpostonbluesky #contemporaryoilpainting #fineartist
- Hi! I've found a lot of interesting art in the oil painting feed and also in the paper and canvas feed. :)
- Another Baby Yoda watercolor for Star Wars Day. I painted this one a few years back. #starwarsday #maythe4th #maythe4thbewithyou #traditionalart #crafts #illustration #painting #art #artsky

- I tend to gravitate towards acrylics because I like to do a lot of glazing, but watercolors give such a nice vibe, don't they? I do the occasional digital portrait. Skin tones are so much easier when you're working digitally. What are your preferred mediums?

- I'm really liking the feeds feature here. So much better than the algorithms on other apps that only show sponsored or popular content.
- Here's my contribution for Mermay. I can't walk much and use a wheelchair, so my handmade mermaid costume is pretty appropriate for me. I like to hand out seashells and pearls to children at renaissance faire and Comic Con. #mermay #garmentsewing #sewing #cosplay #disability #chronicillness

- Urgent care asked me how much pain I was in with broken ribs. Their eyes popped out when I said 4...
- I thought today would be a good day to bust out this old watercolor. Baby Yoda is definitely the cutest Star Wars character. #starwarsday #maythe4th #maythe4thbewithyou #traditionalart #crafts #illustration #painting

- Villandry! The gardens were done up all in pink and red flowers when I visited many years ago.

- Trying to find a someone to do an evaluation for a formal diagnosis for an adult family member has been IMPOSSIBLE. They grew up in a rural area so it wasn't caught when they were younger even though they have struggled their whole life with things like socializing and interoception.

- I'm in a similar boat. Haven't been able to work since 2021. No SSDI. Can only leave the house in short stints with a caregiver pushing my wheelchair. I can paint in short sessions, but I pay for it later. Pain 24/7. Been reading a lot of Korean webcomics to distract myself lately...

- Being loose and accurate at the same time is such a challenge! You have clearly spent a lot of time honing your craft. Great work!

- I love this planter tower! I showed it to a relative who has been complaining about the price of strawberry pots. I'm guessing there's just a piece of rebar going through?

- I'm trying to eventually get a $14k custom wheelchair. It's probably going to wind up costing 25% more. That's absolutely insane. The tariffs are crazy enough already; they definitely shouldn't be applied to medical equipment. How are disabled people supposed to afford this stuff? 😭

- WIP: Emperor moth on a budding rose branch Acrylic ink on clay board I'm working on this project slowly in between other projects. These tiny marks give me serious hand cramps, especially since I'm already dealing with joint issues. #sciart #traditionalart #painting #disabledartist #illustration

- Thank you! Most people make art by adding dark marks to a light surface, but sometimes I like to change things up and do the opposite. 😁

- That's good. I suspect that EDS is pretty underdiagnosed, so hopefully, more doctors will become better aware of it in the future.
- [Not loaded yet]
- It's challenging when doctors assume that your health issues are psychosomatic or assume that you are still capable of working when you can't even take care of yourself or walk more than a few yards. Good doctors are rare and precious.

- Thank you. I hope your daughter doesn't have too severe a case of EDS. How is the healthcare system in Canada for dealing with chronic health issues?

- Background color is working. I think the cool trunk pattern is drawing the eye a lot. If you want to pull focus more to the mushrooms, maybe sneak a tiny bit more orange into the mushrooms? It works pretty well as-is though. Fun painting.
- WIP- Moth on a budding rose branch 🦋 🐡 🌱⚘️ Acrylic ink on an Ampersand clayboard, 5"x7" I picked an emperor moth because the eye patterns are fantastic. Plus, they're fuzzy. Board is so much smoother to work on than canvas- great for small artwork! #art #insects #painting #traditionalart #insectart

- YES. Other annoyances are high thresholds, excessively heavy doors, "accessible" bathroom stalls with doors that open inwards, and boxes piled up in hallways.

- How do you like working with that pixels site? I've been trying to decide where to sell prints now that Etsy has been flooded with AI and mass produced junk.

- I noticed this pretty early on. During the menstral phase, I probably spend 99% of my day in bed, whereas I can at least bathe and get carted in a wheelchair to appointments during the other cycle phases. Switching to a stronger, "seasonal" pill has been so helpful.

- I'm in one of the RECOVER clinical trials for treating long COVID. It's been somewhat helpful to me already, and I imagine it will help many more later on once the research has been published. I'm worried that the program I'm in will get the axe next.
- I just finished my part of a group project. It's a photo cut into 16 4"×4" pieces, then painted by 16 different artists. Our photo depicts a shelf of dinosaur shaped flowerpots, filled with a variety of succulents. Stay tuned for the finished project. #acrylicpainting #art #traditionalart #plants

- Thanks! I was really grateful for the opportunity to participate in this project. Trying new things is always fun!
- Portrait of a girl who loves horses Digital portrait drawn on my phone using a stylus Digital art is so much easier than painting traditionally when I'm having a low-energy day. I can make art without getting out of bed! #portrait #digitalart #art #realism #illustration #disabledartist
