- During the last government Labour kept saying the NHS was overspending because the budget was too low. So now that they're killing the overspend, they're effectively cutting the budget without it technically being a "cut". "Red Tories" used to mean slightly right-leaning Labour, now it's literal

- There is definitely an element of this, but there's also another level of him actually thinking this will work. He's so far removed from the concept of labour that he can't conceive of any blue collar jobs that aren't manufacturing
