My drafts are pure discovery. After the first draft, I outline between drafts to plan and correct.

Outline. Write. Re-outline. Rewrite. All steps interspersed with long notes in which I discover what I'm trying to say.

Discovery. I can never outline a story, my mind drops me a prompt and I have to figure out how to get to that point and then how to get from that to a non-cliché conclusion.
