- ATSyntaxTools is now live! This library allows you to identify and validate AT URIs, DIDs, NSIDs, and other identifiers within the AT Protocol. You can use this within the ATProtoKit family of Swift packages, or any Swift ATProto libraries unrelated to ATProtoKit. #Swiftlang #ATProto #atdev

View full threadThis goal… is probably not going to be reached, so only a subset will be converted. But again: “reach for the stars, because if you don’t reach them, you’ll at least land on the moon.” And I want to get to the moon at least.
- ATProtoKit takes up the vast majority of the time, and outside of my disability payments, donations help me live. If you believe in my goal, or if you believe my packages have value, I’d be happy for you to donate. Even $10 will do. Contributions and monthly donations are also welcome.
- I’m thinking of making a Facebook-like service. However, this is deliberate because private states are still far away, which gives me enough time to complete my goal of converting everything.
- Ambitiously, my goal is to complete everything related to ATProto (outside of the AppView) by the end of 2025.
- ATProtoKit was originally going to be what powered my Bluesky client that I wanted to make. But seeing all of the great clients that have already popped up (and not Phoenix entering the ring), I decided to scrap it and make the library available for everyone to use.
- Then I chose to make an Instagram-like service, but then Flashes arrived, and I didn’t want to compete with that since I think it deserves its place, so I scrapped that idea, too.
- Discord is adding the ability for server members to natively report messages to mods/admins. Reports made this way will be sent to a special forum-like channel set up by server admins.
- I’ve been hoping to see something like this. I no longer have to code my own if this actually arrives.
