- I’m learning French using Duolingo and have yet to figure out how to know whether “un” or “une” should be used in a sentence. I gather that “une” is in the feminine context, while “un” is masculine. And for some reason, “une” is always used in reference to oranges. Otherwise, I’m lost. Please advise
