I studied fascism and I’m still here and fighting after being arrested for protesting, motherfuckers, you’re all a bunch of cowardly shitass punks
“I got a job in Canada because I’m scared of where this country is going” does not send the heroic, bold message these guys think it does, especially after they’ve let it just become a huge media blitz.
May 15, 2025 03:57Quoting Don Moynihan, I agree with all his points:
Whether you go or stay is an individual decision. Up to them.
*Yes, most people don't have the choice and leaving is a privilege.
*Understand the "stay and fight" but very few have done more to warn about what was coming for years.
People really getting their underwear in a twist over this.
Lots of people conveniently forget why people came to THIS country....
10 seconds of scrolling later.....
"we have the privilege of being able to leave, fuck y'all lol"
Quite a headline.
Yeah, this is where I get stuck on the whole “moving to Portugal” thing. You should be willing to stay and fight.
Gotta disagree with you here. Not all can "fight the fight." As a person with disabilities, but a strong heart; fighting this gutless regime isn't really in the cards. Sometimes stepping away is the solution for that person.
If your not going to fight you dont get to make money writing from the safety of Canada is the rule
That's how I feel about it. This headline would have been fine a year ago, but if you're running away NOW just because you can afford to, well, fuck you very much.
(DISCLAIMER: I'm not talking to anyone who's emigrating to avoid a known threat to their health and safety.)
Anyone who has the means to leave, should leave.
