I put up with this for four years as The New York Times and others kept insisting that this race or that race was The One that would prove The End of the Progressive Prosecutor. No number of wins would be enough, and one loss meant they could declare it was over. They never wanted it!
No doubt that if the Dem lost tonight — even though the loss would’ve been to a GOP incumbent — that would have been used in someone’s op-ed by Wednesday afternoon.
The opposite must be true, too. A win is a reminder that standing up to hate is not only right, but good politics. We must use it.
