Y'all. Check expiry dates on your skincare, especially if you switch back and forth or over-buy. Sometimes it oxidizes. Sometimes the pH changes (and it has to be at the right pH to work). Especially if it's not in an opaque container or you dig it out with your fingers, it can go off quickly.
