- In @nytopinion.nytimes.com “Across the world, we’ve seen democracy in retreat,” writes A.G. Sulzberger, the publisher of The New York Times. “This anti-press playbook is now being used here in this country — and it could not come at a more difficult time for the American press.”
- And the NYT is part of the problem.
- Yes, it’s true. Joe Biden is old. Can we get back to talking about Trump’s corruption now?
- Biden was not the only candidate with signs of brain-related pathology. My anger is the conscious decision to ignore Trump’s pathology and the continued insistence they didn’t tilt the field for Trump. Given Trump’s conduct since returning to power, maybe Biden wasn’t the greatest threat to America.
- Rob Manfred can talk all he wants about the illogic in keeping dead people banned but he never would've done this if Donald Trump hadn't inserted himself into this. He did it specifically to please Trump and/or in an effort to head off Trump fucking with Major League Baseball.

- Life long baseball fan here. I am beyond disgusted by this decision (and as a child I worshipped the Big Red Machine).
- Massive, gigantic nope to this. Dems. Come on. Even almost half of TRUMP VOTERS think crypto is a complete scam. This is a terrible own goal in progress.
- The word is that @gallego.senate.gov + @markwarner.bsky.social are trying again to gather Dem votes to advance the shady GENIUS Act that will end up helping the Trump family to get richer off crypto this Thursday. Call you Sens today 202-224-3121 ask them to vote against the dumb GENIUS bill.
- So Arizona elected the second coming of Kristen Sinema?
- BREAKING: MLB commissioner Rob Manfred removed Pete Rose and other deceased players from the league's permanently ineligible list. This makes the sport’s all-time hit king eligible for election to the Hall of Fame. Details: www.nytimes.com/athletic/630...
- This is an absolute disgrace. Manfred should be ashamed of kow-towing to Trump.
- If a major American airport had basically stopped functioning when Joe Biden was president, every elected Republican would be blanketing cable news screaming for Pete Buttigieg’s resignation. Where is the outrage for Trump & Duffy?
- The issue to me is elected Democrats. They do not understand that media/journalists are no longer fully honorable and you can’t wait for them to pick up a story. Democrats need to find a microphone and scream at the top of their lungs.
- Says the man who said it was okay for the president to break laws.
- I note the complete lack of self-awareness. Impressive since Roberts is the guy who gave Trump preemptive immunity to break the law. He also seems unaware that the horse has already left the barn.
- “It’s safe, but…”
- JFC, the dumb one from MTV The Real World, who couldn’t advance from weekend Fox News, may actually be the most dangerous of all Trump’s horrifically unqualified appointments.
- This is why Duffy is blaming all plane crashes, near-crashes and FAA system outages on the Biden administration. "The fired workers include personnel hired for FAA radar, landing and navigational aid" maintenance, an air traffic controller told The Associated Press." apnews.com/article/doge...
- And thus far, he’s largely getting away with it. Why? Elected Democrats do not understand that every second of every day, they should find a microphone and scream into it. Why do they continue to allow the GOP to drive the media messaging?
- If only he had an opportunity to say nobody is above the law in a formal opinion “for the ages.”https://www.politico.com/news/2025/05/12/chief-justice-roberts-speech-georgetown-00343406

- No. And that says everything that needs to be said about how terrible a spot we are in right now.
