India says it has hit nine locations in Pakistan.

One of the targets is the madrassa of Maulana Masood Azhar in Bahawalpur, Punjab province, who leads the Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorist organisation.

Indian Government spokesperson: “Our actions have been focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature.”

Pakistani fighter jets have just taken off from Islamabad.

Pakistan has closed its airspace for 48 hours.

Pakistan intelligence tells local media the military is preparing a retaliation strike.

Pakistani Army spokesperson: “Pakistan will respond to the Indian missile attacks at a time and place of its own choosing.”

Pakistan has begun artillery fire at Bhimber on the Line of Control.

Pakistan Army spokesperson: “Pakistan's response is underway.”

Reports the Pakistan airforce has hit India’s Sirinigar Airbase.

Pakistan media says more than a dozen targets have been hit in Indian Kashmir including Srinagar Air Base.
