- Very much not a fan of this feature at all, tbh 🤷🏻♂️ especially with this more recent update where it can be set as a default setting; it's fine if it's used in an emergency from time to time. It feels pretty anti-social and anti-"internet town square"… like fences between city neighborhoods.
- The irony on this post 🥹 It asks for blogs without paywall, yet you can't comment on it 🤷♂️ We've over engineered products / looking at you @bsky.app
- It's like half of the way towards Twitter/Mastodon-like followers-only locked profiles. It made Bluesky (a bit) less of a place where you can always drop in to a thread from someone from beyond your immediate circle and join the conversation… (And yes, I understand why it was added) </rant>
- yeah, I think the easier solution would've been a reading comprehension test before your first post that automatically suspends your account if your fail
- Also I wonder if it wouldn't have been better if a "don't show this post / my posts in Discover-like feeds" option had been added instead of this…
