- I was support staff for autistic kids and adults for ten years. Not only is this false, it's a dangerous rhetoric that feeds disinformation and spawns prejudice.
- Hey #cogneuro and #cogsci and #languagescience friends - what are we using as a free alternative to Biorender for making fancy schematics and such?

This year, in the face of looming budget cuts, that number was halved: only 1,000 received an offer. Our story on what that means for the science talent pipeline: www.nature.com/articles/d41...
- Had a great time sharing about our test-retest, #multimodal #communication #aphasia & peer dataset at the University of Technology Sydney Graduate School of Health seminar series today. Join AphasiaBank (totally free) and get full access to our data! aphasia.talkbank.org/access/Engli...

- To be perfectly frank, the USA is not and has not been a "world leader" across many things *except* biomedical research. This could be no more, thanks to what is happening to the NIH and many others. This is a travesty for not only science, but the beneficiaries of that science: the people.
- Thoroughly enjoying my time in Brisbane! Thanks for hosting us today @aphasiologist1.bsky.social & @smwilson.bsky.social !

- A year ago, more than 90% of our faculty voted No Confidence in our university's president. Today, the Board of Trustees raises her salary to $900,000. Excuse me, what?
