I’m work in state government and we are not allowed to accept gifts of any kind. If a constituent were to send me flowers, my ethics office would choose a charity to donate them to and have me write to the person to let them know.
As a private business (that sells to government entities) employee who completes annual ethics training about what we cannot give public employees, same.
