- You just don’t really understand how this works. Look, it is fine for Democrats to talk about it. But what happens is when this gets brought up on Sunday morning shows, social media, etc. the Republican response is “yes we deported him bc he was illegal and a gang member.”
- You may not like it, but most Americans are sympathetic to that Republican talking point and when you allow it to be hammered in “defense” you weaken yourself in relation to your opposition. IMO.
- This dynamic is ignored by the people of Bluesky bc, well, there are no Republicans (or independents) on here lol.
- he is pulling lower and lower approval ratings so it's possible your uh analysis is outdated but if you think they shouldn't be talking about extraordinary rendition because you personally think it's bad vibes, sure ok
- you haven't given anyone any reason to think you understand this better than any of us does, so if you have a career as a pollster in your pocket or something now would be the time to show that card
