- for a teen niece after another brother died. The eldest of six, she outlived all of her siblings. When she died in California, she had in place arrangements to be transported back to Texas, buried in the family plot, and have a headstone erected for herself. She was an amazing, strong woman.

- It amazes me how grown up girls of that generation looked at 17/18. I notice the same thing in my mother’s photos at that age.
