- I finally watched FURIOSA this evening. I loved it, though I'm a huge fan of the entire Mad Max franchise anyway, so I knew I'd love it. The 2nd film is still my favorite, but Mel Gibson can fuck off into the sun. I hope Miller makes more of these.

- I slept way too late today and now everything is all fucked up, as usual. But ... I work tomorrow and then I'm on vacation. Starting a new fiction project that will hopefully inject some fun into my veins.

- Generations cannot be cool or uncool. The one thing I've always noticed about cool people is they don't have a need to proclaim that status for validation. Those that are truly "cool" are simply living their best lives, everything else be damned.
- Be on the Look Out For ... Hold My Heart by Koji A. Dae, releasing later this month!

- Are there any sword and sorcery novels set in modern times?Like right now? Contemporary? Is that a thing? Is it called something else? Am I crazy to think this even exists?

- Obviously, the biggest influence of my vampire novel THE SMALL HOURS, releasing from @ghoulish.bsky.social next month (pre-order here ghoulish.rip/product/the-...), is DRACULA. You could even say I "what if'd" the storyline for my novel. My favorite Dracula is Christopher Lee.
- Alright folks, @kevharrison.bsky.social has the 5 must-read horror articles up over at @thisishorror.bsky.social and you MUST READ them. Like, there's going to be a test or something.

- Maybe it's just me, but this 2nd season of Andor feels like it was written by John le Carré. I do like the darker political intrigue, but we gotta get into some action soonish.

- It's been mentioned previously, but THE SMALL HOURS, my bloody, sexy, funny vampire novel releasing 6/2025 from @ghoulish.bsky.social (pre-order here: ghoulish.rip/product/the-...) was heavily influenced by FRIGHT NIGHT (1985), which is perhaps one of my favorite movies of all time. For real.

- The new Bobby Rausch album Stones & Stars is excellent. New Ghost album ... so far, so good. SINNERS score (both albums) ... excellent! Need to give the new Machine Head album a spin.
- Jerry Cantrell is on the score for SINNERS, specifically the track "In Moonlight". Which means there's a little Alice in Chains in the mix, so cool.

- SINNERS! Wow. Just WOW! Swung for the fences and knocked it out of the fucking park. One of the best movies I've seen lately, and the vampires put the icing on the cake. Folks, I don't like theaters, but this was CINEMA, and you should catch this one in a nice theater, soon!
