It requires an endless flat Earth, with air and oceans that make waste products vanish, with no cost or consequences.
It's like the Mad Hatter's Tea Party. When the plates got dirty, they moved down the table. We are now running out of table.
This is not, in fact, in line with conventional economics, unless you write out six and a half decades of work on the social costs of externalities. The concept of the social cost of greenhouse gases wss established in conventional economics well before it was in US policy.
In their defense.. most folk don't read the lengthy technical papers that economists write..
Instead they hear the profit-driven economic propaganda that denies such costs.
that propaganda defines "conventional economics" to most people.
