- Timothy Snyder, author of On Tyranny (which has been cited infinitely the last few months), is moving to Canada.
- Leaving the US as an act of protest…doesn’t really seem like an act of protest. I’ve thought of leaving because I can (though likely won’t, because it would be much more complicated for me), but I would never call it an act of protest. It’s would be an entirely self-interested move.
- I often will look at the stupid AI summary that pops up on google and follow the sources it gives to see if it’s actually right. Most of the time? It isn’t. And even if it’s technically correct, it’s totally missing context clues that are crucial to subject matter understanding and expertise

View full threadI feel like Google maps has shown me where this process leads. I love it in a lot of ways, but I don’t “map” anything in my head when I use it, which is scary. A bunch of answers don’t give you knowledge.
