- I thought I knew git well This is so me I love it omg
- "Wait, but don't you have to have the tests already committed?" "Ah. Shit."
- Yeah, I had to sink at least the skeleton of all of the tests down into one of the first commits. (That is, the commits just modify existing assertions instead of introducing new ones.)
- Dorley fridge thoughts: Where are the tops of the in-room dumbwaiters? What does that setup do to the floorplan of the ground floor, and what rooms are being barged into for midnight hot cocoa drops? And why use only the dining room dumbwaiter during the lockdown instead of the individual ones?
- What makes the most sense to me is that the bedroom dumbwaiters terminate in basement one (the floor with the security room) while the dining room one stops in both basement one and the kitchen. So sending food to the bedrooms is a bit more involved than the dining room.
- TIL that you can use git rebase --exec to run through a series of commits and stop if any of them don’t pass their tests.
- "What if I put a trans MC in my book, and it bombs?" Gimme a sec, I’m counting the cis people in my book series. Hmm. Well, shit, there aren’t very many at all. Like 60 trans women, though. I guess cis people will have to look elsewhere for their representation. neemtreepress.com/book/welcome...
- "What if I put a trans MC in my book, and it bombs?" Instructions unclear, make everybody trans! We've got a trans lesbian lead, a trans butch lesbian lead, and their trans lesbian girlfriend. And polyamorous lesbian dragons, and it rules! Get her here: Vaeladenarr.itch.io/on-wings-of-fallen-stars
- Any characters that are middle aged trans women who didn't realize they were trans until their late 40s because internalized transphobia? Asking because uhhh. No reason at all. 😬
- The closest I can think of to late transition rep is Linda, a character from backstory flashbacks; she only transitioned a few years later than most of the characters, but by then she’d already lost her hair. Spent a while closeted at home, too.

- Don’t. “A satirical novel about a university dormitory full of stealth trans women” will do.

- You also need to believe that a better world is possible.
- OMG I love Captain Pike in ST: Discovery
- He’s basically the best.

- Need to force them all to read Dorley so they can switch their obsession and start identifying as different girls from the basement instead of this dumb house shit. I don't care if you think you're a Hufflepuff, are you a Christine or a Bethany or a Melissa?!
- Horrifically, there’s a strong argument that I’m a Callie.
- Oh no should I read Dorley??????

- Okay, that’s an excellent mug.
