This checks out. My mom's orange boy Luke was 7 pounds at 6 months and is now 20 pounds at nearly 3 years old. He's also about 2.5 feet long, not counting his tail. Every morning, he stretches out full length between the toilet and the shower and still has to curl his tail a bit to fit.
He's truly the lorgest boi I've ever seen, and we've had 20lb cats before. They were just fat, tho.
