- (1/3) We are aware that four major Pride organisers (@prideinlondon.bsky.social, @birminghampride.bsky.social, @brightonpride.bsky.social, and @manchesterpride.bsky.social) have banned political parties from attending their events. We have released the following statement in response:
- (2/3) In short, we understand the decision - but are also disappointed. Local political activists are the backbone of the Labour Party, and the labour movement, and their work deserves recognition, not rejection.
- (3/3) We urge Pride organisers and the wider community to not vilify those who are using their voices, their positions, and risking their memberships on a daily basis to demand better from the Labour government.
- Let us reiterate - we are NOT affiliated with the Labour Party and we are actively working AGAINST this government on its stance on trans rights. That is why we were created. When we say we stand for trans rights, we mean it. We show it.
- If you carry their name, you carry their shame. Until your party deserves our respect it isn't welcome in any guise. Go pink wash elsewhere.May 14, 2025 12:44
