- I haven’t personally tried powerline adapters, but I’ve heard nothing but bad things about their performance

- Quality really matters here, I’ve tried WiFi extenders that absolutely do cut the speed in half (or worse) but with my setup now I’m able to get the same speeds (50MB/s) over Ethernet. I’m essentially using a WiFi router as the receiver, and it is connected to a dumb switch. Works great! Very stable
