Let's face it. Elon was right about one thing: Twitter IS dead. This is X. Cuz this for sure isn't the Twitter I once knew and... tolerated.
Now that my ISP finally catched up with the Brazil ban, here's what u need to know:
B/uesky is proving itself to actually be worth a damn and so I'll be there.
It's being a more pleasant experience with much less awful people in general, kinda like the good ol' days of Twitter, really.
Zucc's Threads can die for all I care. Puritanicals would love it there xd
Apr 18, 2025 02:55"But isn't the Brazil ban temporary?" ...yes in theory. But pretty much we ain't having it back til Elon does at least 3 things that we all know he ain't gonna do: Pay a fine, ban specific users as requested by the supreme court, and put someone in charge of X in Brazil.
So in other words, we ain't coming back anytime soon I'm afraid (which is probably a net positive for the collective brazilian mental health)
and stay tuned cuz other countries might be next... particularly in Europe. To me whatever causes any loss for Elon is a win.
Right now I'm accessing this through some interesting means (NOT a VPN though, so don't fine me pls) and will take my leave for as long as needed/as long as "X" remains stupid and awful like this. (might come back only to lock my account, perhaps)
So farewell to y'all. It's been real. But as long as the childish billionaire remains in charge I don't think it even makes sense for me to be here.
I WOULD advise everyone else to follow suit but I know it's... hard.
