- Once again I had to park my own car at a valet station because the valet didn't know how to drive manual; this doesn't bother me and in fact I find it amusing, but it certainly brings home that I really am from a different age of the world now.
- Being able to drive a stick shift is about as vital as being able to ride a unicycle, but there’s a lot of people here who seem to think it’s the end-all-be-all of life skills. Seems like there might be a big overlap with people who still write paper checks.

It is not corrupt to take an action that aligns with the interest of a person who gives you a gift, unless the official action was in direct response to that gift--a bribe. Terms matter. Accuracy and fairness matters. Regardless of what social media wants.
