- If you haven’t watched Len’s powerful acceptance speech, it’s now up on IG. Please do consider taking a look: www.instagram.com/reel/DJrBS4K... Also: her second collection, Poyums Annaw, is out in September. If you’re keen on an event or interview, now is the time to catch me!
- I feel quite emotional about Len winning this tonight. She advocates so fiercely for the Scots language, the accessibility of poetry to all, and the importance of pushing back against prejudice wherever she sees it - and does it all with humility and often real humour. She REALLY deserves this.
- Our next winner is Len Pennie, taking home the Book of the Year: Discover award for poyums (Canongate) ✒️ “Reading this is an experience that transcends sexuality, race and gender,” said one judge #Nibbies #BritishBookAwards
