I wouldn't doubt it. The market doesn't affect them, so when it tanks, they can just buy more and watch themselves reap profits once it returns

Without a doubt. All of the inner circle are buying big on the dips, and Trump will rescind 75%+ of the tariffs in 4-6 weeks to bounce the markets back, making his crew exponentially richer and then claim he heroically “solved” the problem (that he created specifically for this purpose).
