- That's the scary bit: imagining future scenarios based on rational extrapolation of current trends and events. It's enough to make even professional systems 'trajectory artists' weep. (I'm thinking of starting a self-help group for freaked out strategic planners, including of the defence variety.)

- Russia is the cause of Russia's war. Russian imperialism. Russian aggression. Russian power. Russian bloodlust. The only way to deal with Russia is to crush it. Not by violence, but by reducing Russia's economy to ruins. Until they plead for mercy. Until the Russians learn that murder is wrong.
