The groundbreaking “Hill Street Blues” goes off the air this week in 1987.
Unlike other cop shows where characters’ private lives were unseen, “we turned that inside out,” said Steven Bochco. “‘Hill Street’ was a show where their personal lives kept bleeding .. into their professional lives.”
Great show. Every day when my Daughter leaves for school I tell her "Let's be careful out there." She usually rolls her eyes but it is part of our shtick now.
