  Energy nerds, this methodology note in the Statistical Review of World Energy makes me mad. Is there no better way to do this analysis? Doesn't this overstate the important of fossil fuels in the energy system?

  No-one said it was easy. But moving towards actual energy delivered for a service gives a better picture at national level than primary energy does.
