A friend included this anti-acknowledgement section on her PhD thesis. She also added the proposition: “Systematic bullying and undermining of girls and women in STEM starts early on and is the reason why they do not stay in science and related fields.”

Mar 6, 2025 16:40So sad and infuriating it is still going on! 1979 my (male) high school guidance counselor gave me my IQ score (around 140 on a bell curve) then advised me not to apply to ivy league schools. Took me 24 years to pay for & complete M. Architecture due to many misogynist obstacles. But I did it anyway
