- Flute Demonstration - Low D Here is a flute I built. Plays down to a low D4 (293Hz) in about the same range as a tenor recorder. Please enjoy! : ] #art #music #workshop #instrumentsMar 2, 2025 18:42
- Awesome dude. I love your passion for music.
- Thanks buddy. : }
- super nice. I have played around with a bit of flute and piano. Total amateur, but I like it, as long as no one else is around, holding their ears and screaming from the pain.
- That's funny. : } Because when I started learning Violin/Fiddle, I used to walk out into the woods. That way no one would have to endure the noise of a complete beginner. : P
- Cool!
- Thank you! : }
- Yo that's super cool
- Thank you! : }
- Cool! How long did it take to build?
- About a week, Most of the time is spent waiting for the varnish to dry. : }
- What determines how hard it is to breathe through a flute like does the wood material make a big difference ?? Or is it just like the size of the holes .. this is super cool and interesting, please tell me more !! (I'd rather ask a human than a bot since you built this)
- It all comes down to the design of the fipple or embouchure hole. : } It's always a balancing act. Because larger diameters create better tone, but require more air to play.
- I have a hollow reed from a weed that grew like 14 feet tall last year- I'm going to try it!
- Okay, awesome. : } 14' foot would be a bit long full lenght. You can make a few flutes from that.
