2plus2equals
If 2. is small and is just rounded up, 2. + 2. can equal 3. For large values rounded down, it can be 5. It can never be 6.
I read historical documents a small chunk a day to understand them. That’s all this feed is.
- this is an abuser who will not leave me alone i have never once interacted with them but they add me to abusive lists every fucking day @rdelwood.bsky.social
- anybody know how to report lists when you have been blocked by the creator?
- I just assume that most lists are garbage and ignore them. Simply voicing any opinion on the situation in the Middle East will immediately get you branded as both pro-Israel and antisemitic.
- The last time the Phillies tried to rehab this asshole he was still alive and did this, and they did nothing but continue to support the rapist asshole.
- The “babe” really seals the deal as to how little he cares.
- 11/Fred The ruling compares the case of Korematsu with the Hirabayashi ruling the previous year where court held that a curfew based solely on ancestry was justified when at war with the country of ancestry, though apparently only when it was Japan. supreme.justia.com/cases/federa...

View full thread15/Fred The court cites Chastleton Corp v Sinclair (and with it Block v Hirsh, the case before Chastleton on the same issue) to hold that while the current situation at the time of the ruling seems excessive, the court must consider the action in the context in which it happened.
- 16/Fred Chastleton also established that the declaration of emergency was something the court could review. The remainder of section 12 of the ruling is an acknowledgment of extreme hardship but also that extreme hardship is expected in wartime. Same basic logic could have justified any atrocity.
- The life expectancy was lower? How do these people make it through life being so utterly ignorant?
- study.com/academy/less.... Republican-selected is R-selected. Fits perfectly.
- AOC: The math is not adding up. Their claim is that one million undocumented people are on Medicaid. So why are they trying to cut 13.7 million Americans off their healthcare?
- That they can’t do math is the least of their problems. They probably asked Grok and got the wrong answer.
- 13/Fred Korematsu’s case is summarized as that by May of 1942, about six months after Pearl, it was clear that there would be no invasion of the US by Japan. What’s unsaid but implied here is that arbitrary and extreme measures were not justified if there was no obvious threat.
- 14/Fred Sections 10 and 11 form what look like an argument for a rational basis (i.e. the government didn’t have time to figure out who was loyal). This is not a criterion considered for “strict scrutiny” which should have been the level applied for an obvious infringement on protected rights.
- My op-ed on the large shift of drug discovery moving to China and policy steps the U.S. can take to keep the innovation economy in America. "Five years ago, U.S. drug makers didn’t license any new drugs from China. By 2024, one-third came from Chinese biotech"
- The challenge is that without NIH and without basic research funding, drug discovery is going to leave the US… maybe not to China, maybe just gone period. We’re also going to see some niche medications currently manufactured just disappear for lack of market. Drug antidiscovery.
- Cosplay to reinforce the idea that these are “dangerous terrorists” rather than just people with paperwork problems.
